SWBAT

Now that I'm back in school, I'm reading textbooks a lot. I think a favorite pass-time for professionals is to come up with ridiculous acronyms, especially for the education department. The most ridiculous one I've seen yet? SWBAT. It means "students will be able to". Is that SUCH a long phrase that we can't write it out in the textbook?!?! Wow. PWBAT (professionals will be able to) make stuff more complicated than it needs to be.

    Just wait. Someday you'll be a real teacher and won't need to worry about the silly acronyms SWBAT anymore :) Enjoy the rest of school while it lasts...it goes way too fast.

    This is something SMHTUTNF (students might have trouble understanding the need for).
