Grown-up officialness

Few things make living in a new place more official than getting a library card. It makes you feel like part of the community, like you truly belong. This morning I went to the nearest library and not only got my very own library card, but also checked out my first book from a Nevada library. (For those of you curious Georges out there, the book was The Last Olympian. I got it in Spanish because they had no English copies available. I love beating the system!) There is a magical quality to libraries. Thank you Ben Franklin.

Another aspect of officialness is that I got my staff ID for school! And keys for my classroom. I'm pretty darn excited for this whole new adventure.
