Unconventional uses

While at the coast, between all the family members we had two suites. In order to avoid a hassle with the keys we just kept the door open all the time. There was no door stop to be found. With all the technology these days phone books will surely become obscure before you can say, "Rip van Winkle". Thus, they make good door stops.

Instead of roughing the elements, we could enjoy the beauties of the coast AND the comfort of our sofa at the same time. This lovely photo was taken through our window.

These little birds right outside one of our room were quickly outgrowing their nest...which happened to be built on a fire sprinkler. Now that's one resourceful mother if you ask me, making your home on a sprinkler.

Taken from our porch. My mother definitely has a bargain angel to be able to stay all together at this place.

  1. Beautiful! Where were yous staying. I've had a few moments where I thought a phone book would be useful (though not for looking up a number) and didn't have one cause no one uses them anymore.
