Spanish Lesson #1 of 576,980,874

I have noticed that, true to what people have told me, Chileans don't really believe in pronouncing consonants. I know how to say, "How did you sleep?" (Cómo dormiste?) But when my host dad asked me this morning "Omo ormie?" I had NO idea what he was talking about.

My host mom went with me to the university to show me how to get there from the house. It's very simple thankfully. I get to take a subway! Yeah, who knew there were subways in Chile?!

  1. Uhhhhh . . . actually understanding another language spoken by a native is so much more challenging than studying it. I don't know what I would do about that consonant thing. Learn how to say: "Enunciate, please" I guess. That and "Please, please, please SLOW DOWN!" ;)
